What is Blockchain?

Blockchain is a verifiable and transparent system that is shared among a network of computers. Many businesses are looking to use blockchain as a common data layer to enable new ways of data sharing and business processes which reduce the risk of fraud, eliminate waste and create a new ways of doing business.

There are many blockchains and distributed ledger technologies with real world use cases. My research is primarily focused on Hyperledger, Ethereum and the Bitcoin blockchain
